The staff at the hotel are the most welcoming I have ever encountered - they cannot do enough for you, whether it's making taxi and trip bookings, ordering food, recommending restaurants, offering advice, a friendly face and interesting conversation. The rooms are comfortable and welcoming. Being a boutique hotel with just 10 rooms, the hotel centres around one cosy communal area (for breakfast/TV/bar), where you can meet and get to know the other guests, use the internet, etc. I had originally booked in for 2 nights, and ended up staying for 7 nights - I didn't want to leave!!
Beautiful location, very friendly staff, and great breakfasts to start the day off right. As a solo traveller, I never felt alone, as the staff were especially helpful in helping bring together hotel guests for evening drinks on the terrace. I only have positive words to describe my stay, and would definitely recommend Primi Seacastle to all my friends!
A comfortable hotel, friendly staff at a good rate.
I made the booking online. The two main reasons why I booked it was that the website details assured me that there is "Free private parking is possible on site (reservation is not needed)", and the discription opf the room "Room Facilities: Safety Deposit Box, Air Conditioning, Seating Area, Shower, Hairdryer, Bathrobe, Jacuzzi/Whirlpool, Bathroom Amenities, Toilet, Bathroom". Upon arrival at the hotel there was no private parking. I had to park in the street in front of another apartmentr - fortunately my vehicle was still safe the next morning - it could have been much different. Furthermore - there were no jacuzi - thus I did not get the room booked and paid for (50% was already paid). When I enquired about the lack of the jacuzi I was told I did not add in my specific request that the room my not be changed - I'm lost - what did I book and pay for.....
The view, close proximity to Campsbay Restaurants and the breakfast.
We have travelled the world and have stayed in poor to magnificent hotels. I booked this hotel for a romantic break for me and my wife. The room we stayed in was called the "honeymoon suite" - realy there is nothing romantic or luxurious about this room. The decor is dated , the curtains hang askew, there is no carpet or coffee table in the "lounge area", just the cold bare floor. One would think that at least, flowers or a chocolate on the bed would be par for the course, but no - this place rely solely on the view and the "Campsbay" name. The slippers advertised was also non-exsistent. For the price we paid , we at least expected some special touches.
Upgraded to a fantastic room, and staff were friendly and great. For a "cheap" Internet deal was a fantastic experience!
Some of the staff were helpful
It was extremely noisy, led by a receptioist who partied in the bar with guests until after midnight. There was no heating. The bottom sheet was laid on the mattress and did not cover it.
The Primi Seacastle was great for easy access to the beach and Camps Bay. Very safe and secure, which was great! The staff were also friendly and really made a lot of effort to make sure our needs were met. We had Room 10, which was large with a sea view (and a very nice bed!). Overall, a great experience! I highly recommend the Primi Seacastle.
Simply the best place to stay. Stylish rooms, familial atmosphere, stunning sunsets, friendly staff. My second home.
For the price we paid for a beachfront hotel we could not fault this hotel.the room we were given was excellent.highly recommend this hotel.
Hard to see where the the car park is when first arriving.
Certain aspects of our room need upgrading
The location is very good. Good traveler facilities in the hotel like free internet and books and info. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Bed linen were slightly damp and contained some suspicious stains.
Michael and his team were very friendly and helpful. The location on Camps Bay is excellent. The room was very comfortable. We stayed nine days and enjoyed every one.
Beach, location (also not too far from Central Cape Town)
Great location in Camps Bay and good value for money
