I loved the room and the location with the big balcony overlooking the ocean. The sunsets were spectacular. I couldn't believe how big the room was, with the living area, bar, dressing area, big bedroom, and nice bathroom. It was heaven. But the best was the manager, Michael. He was so helpful, and just lots of fun. Kept my son and I entertained - we had the best time, and definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful place in Camps Bay.
We liked the friendly and open atmosphere, mainly created by Michael, which gave Primi Seacastle a very boutique style feeling. He introduced all the guests to each other so that you felt amongst friends more than a hotel.
The staff were very friendly and the location by the beach and near the restaurants and cafes at Camp's bay made it very convenient for 2 women travelling!
room was in great location - overlooking beach - room had balcony. room was reasonably well appointed but furniture 'tired' in a few places. staff were very helpful and friendly. would consider staying there again...
Location is excellent, nice design touches (colour of tablecloths at breakfast, pink fridge) and the effort the staff made to be friendly and take a personal interest in the guests. Also, the welcoming bouganvillea on the bed.
Felt at home with the incredibly friendly staff. Super comfortable hotel very well located. On the nicest neighborhood of Cape Town, just a few steps from all thr nice restaurants and bars of Camps Bay. The rooms are great, you can see that the staff is worried about the details. In my opinion, a five star place.
Nope! Everything was great!
Everything but the phone in system - that "call centre" feel absolutely sucks!!!! Please change the telephone call system!!!!PLEASE thank you
the location is fantastic in Camps Bay and easy to get everywhere else for day trips, safari, wine, Cape Town and the rest of the cape area. the staff are excellent especially my dealings with Gloria who got me into my room early and Primrose who helped me get into my hotel in Cape Town central early. this is great little hotel just 5 mins from the best food and wine possible (plus 5 mins away from the noise too - which is great)
3 keys to get in and out of hotel - seems dated but maybe charming too. kettle took literally 30 mins to boil - i was showered and down to breakfast by then. the mirror cabinet in 2 rooms (my parents were in other room) is un-necessary - because it comes out too far you cant put you head over sink when slooshing or brushing teeth. at breakfast the staff make coffee individually from an expensive machine - would be easier for staff and guests if there were a couple of filter coffee pots on the go for self service (probably cheaper too)
Position, price and the excellent room I had
What an inviting place. Micheal you are a gem, so friendly and upbeat!!! The room even though the back one, was fantastic, spacious, well decorated and comfortable. We only stayed one night as mum and daughter came to the city for a course, but i will visit again soon with the rest of the family. Oh the orange juice was the best I have ever had!!
The area it is in being Camps Bay
1. The fact that they do not indicate that the entrance is not on victoria rd but around the back 2. the fact that they advertise that there is parking but if they are 30% booked then there is no parking and you have to park in the road and walk miles with your luggage 3.It is extremely noisy when other guests come in late 4. The breakfast area is so small you cannot move an inch 5. The breakfast tables are so small that if you have tea at the same time as breakfast there is no space for the plate as well as the cup 6. The staff do not speak or understand english well so they get your order wrong. 7. The staff that are present before 10 a.m. is incompetent and inexperienced. 8. The bathroom is so small that if you sit on the toilet your knees hit the wall. 9. The bathroom cabinet is TOO big for the SMALL bathroom - you cannot bend forward to rinse your mouth when you brush your teeth 10. The kettle is placed in a really really odd position to try and boil water. 11. some of their rooms are really the poor cousin rooms. It is as if they were a afterthought to make more money to put more beds in there so they give you like a matchbox room with everything squeezed in.
Excellent location, top class accommodation, friendly and accommodating staff.
Listening to the waves crashing as you go to bed and as you wake up in the morning... absolutely calm and relaxing.... sipping a glass of wine in the eveing on the balcony and breathing in fresh air...:)
Parking is a challenge
I was very impressed by the size of the room and the views.
